A player for the Detroit Tigers fouled back a pitch during a recent spring training game and nailed the bird perched on the netting behind home plate, turning it into an explosion of feathers and eliciting a huge gasp from the crowd. Watch it happen in the top right corner of the above video at about the :17 mark.

Arizona Diamondbacks pitch Randy Johnson once turned a bird into a cloud of feathers with a fastball during a spring training game back in 2001. You can watch that HERE.
