Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Returns for Its Sixth Year

The YWCA’s sixth annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event returns on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 to Union Plaza in downtown El Paso.

The International Men’s March focuses its efforts on preventing sexual assault, rape, and gender violence in the El Paso community. Participating males wear and walk a mile in women’s shoes, usually high heels, as a show of support for all women and raise awareness of domestic and sexual abuse.

Any gentleman in El Paso, New Mexico and surrounding areas are welcome to take part in the event.

Registration:

  • Registration Fee: $25
  • 4:30 p.m. Register and shoe pick-up
  • 6:30 p.m. Program and walk
  • 7:30 p.m. Award ceremony
  • Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015
  • Union Plaza, Downtown El Paso
