One of the most enduring El Paso summer traditions, Viva! El Paso, will return to McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater for a 14 show run this June and July.

The 40th year celebration of the outdoor extravaganza, which chronicles the 400 year history and cultural evolution of El Paso and the border region, will get underway on June 16 and run every Friday and Saturday night through July 29, 2017.

This year’s production will once again feature a refreshed script by Tony-Award winning El Paso playwright Marty Martin, live mariachis, and new music written specifically for the show by acclaimed El Paso musicians Jim Ward and Gabriel Gonzalez. Its most popular songs and elements from its decades-long past remain in place, according to event organizers.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for children ages 2-12, seniors 65 and older and military with a valid ID, and can be purchased at the Plaza Theatre Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or online at ticketmaster.com.
