I am a military spouse and a photographer. I am always looking for locations that I can show military families. One location I have found that I share constantly on post is Ascarate Lake. I hear so much negativity about the lake from "local" El Paso residents but for some of us that enjoy water, sunsets, grass, play grounds, and everything else that the lake has to offer, I find it to be a beautiful landmark.
