Veteran’s Day in Las Cruces is going to be full of celebrations and thankful hearts. Have you thanked a veteran today?

Veteran’s Day in Las Cruces and the town of Mesilla will be celebrated with a parade this year and a memorial ceremony. Both events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. on Friday. The Veteran’s Day Parade will travel up Main Street on Friday in central Las Cruces. So far there are 70 entries in the parade.

The Las Cruces Public Schools will be heavily involved in the parade. Marching bands from Onate, Mayfield, Gadsden and Centennial will be performing in the parade. 170 students from Cesar Chavez Elementary School will also be marching. Central Elementary students will be participating in the parade as part of a field trip and sack lunches will be provided to the students. Come out with your veterans or simply to support them!
