UTEP's 'Miner Alert System' sent out a text message around 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon warning of a bomb threat and telling students and faculty to leave the campus immediately.  That was followed up by an email saying to leave everything behind and get off campus.

As of 7 o'clock Tuesday night, the Chief of UTEP Police said that the campus is safe, and classes are expected to be back on their regular schedule Wednesday.

If you want to sign up for the 'Miner Alert System', you can click on the mineralert.utep.edu link.  If you are a student registered for classes, you are automatically signed up for the service.
