UTEP Miners Aren’t In The NCAA Tourney, But They Will Play More Basketball This Week
By now, we all know that the UTEP Men’s Basketball team didn’t make the NCAA Tournament. It was a tough season for the Miners, but it’s not over yet. There is still more basketball to be played at the Don Haskins Center!
The Miners will host Fresno State this Wednesday night at the Don for the opening round of the College Basketball Invitational. UTEP last played in the CBI in 2009 under Tony Barbee. They were also invited to play last year, but didn’t. This year, Coach Tim Floyd says he wants his team to participate because the team, minus John Bohannon, will all be back, and the tournament will give them valuable practice and playing time as a team.
If you want to go out and support the Miners, you can get some great general admission seats for just $10. Floor seats will be $30. You can buy tickets starting today at the University Ticket Center, at the corner of Mesa Street and Glory Road, or by calling (915) 747-5234.
UTEP season ticket holders will have first right of refusal on floor seats. UTEP students get in for free by showing a valid I.D.
