UTEP Loses to East Carolina
After an almost 90-minute lightning delay midway through the second quarter that had UTEP hanging on to a 10-7 lead, East Carolina outscored the Miners 21-8 on their way to an eventual 28-18 win.
By all accounts, it was a struggling and sputtering offense that sunk the Miner’s hopes of starting off conference play with a victory. The El Paso Times has all the ugly details here if you want to get into the specifics.
Up next for the 1-4 Miners is a 6 p.m. conference game against SMU Saturday at the Sun Bowl.
