The name of the man El Paso Police say was escorted out of a club in the Downtown Entertainment District, and then came back and fired shots into the club, was released today.

EPPD says 23-year-old Martin D. Guerrero was the person responsible for wounding five people in the shooting that happened early Sunday morning at Club Khaos. Guerrero was allegedly causing a disturbance and was removed from the club by security. He then showed back up and reportedly fired a gun at the entrance of the club. Five people were hit by gunfire. An unknown person returned fire and hit Guerrero in the leg. Guerrero was found later Sunday at a hospital being treated for his wound.

Guerrero is now facing four counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in jail on bonds over $250,000.

El Paso Police are still investigating this incident. They would like to question the person who returned fire and wounded Guerrero. If you have any information about this incident, you are asked to call EPPD at 832-4400.
