Getting to work yesterday morning was more of a headache than usual because a portion of I-10 had to be closed down after a body was found on the freeway.

El Paso police say a 48 year old man was walking on I-10 when he was hit and killed by two vehicles about 4:45 Thursday morning.

The name of the man was not released pending notification of his family.

Police say they got calls from drivers who were reporting debris on the freeway, as well as 9-1-1 calls from the two drivers who struck the man.

When officers got to the scene, they discovered the "debris" was actually a body.

It's not known if alcohol was a factor on the part of the victim.

There are no charges pending against the drivers.
