To say this has been a rough week is to put it mildly.  Monday saw the bombings of the Boston Marathon, today we are awaiting word about the capture of the second bomber in that case, and Wednesday, a fertilizer plant in West, Texas exploded.

Today we have word that authorities have recovered 12 bodies from the ruins of the plant.   Officials said that it was already widely known among the 2,800 residents of the small town, who was missing and who was presumed dead.  Many are presumed to be first responders who were rushing to the plant that was already on fire before the explosion.  Authorities would not confirm how many among the dead were first responders.

The town of West is in our thoughts and prayers.
