U.S. Women’s Olympic Soccer Team Rocks Out to Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the U.S.A.’

It looks like user submitted cover videos of everyone’s favorite songs is the way to get famous nowadays. The Women’s U.S. Olympic Soccer Team has released a cover video of their own and it’s not ‘Call Me Maybe.’ They deserve a gold medal just for that move. Instead, the team has decided to resurrect Miley Cyrus‘ ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ from the dead. 

The video begins with two of the women dragging their luggage down a hotel hallway lip synching along to Miley’s hit. They’re pretty in sync with the lyrics, but that’s pretty much where it stops. After the first scene, the lip synching and actual lyrics to the song are never matched up properly.

We do give the women’s team credit though. There’s a lot of cute choreography going on in the video, and you can tell they’re enjoying themselves, but you’d at least think they’d be 100% coordinated given their actual talents. Oh well. GO TEAM USA!
