Every year the Humane Society of El Paso raises money through the televised telethon to help with the costs associated with running the shelter.
Keep in mind that the El Paso Humane Society is a non-profit, private corporation that does not receive any monies from the State of TX, federal government, nor the City of El Paso.
The shelter has been around for 64 years and relies on good folks like you to help out with any charitable donations, adoptions, fund raising, and telethons to take care of operating costs.
And it’s also good to know that they are a no-kill shelter, so the money that is raised is all for the care of the animals.
As a matter of fact this is their mission statement:
“The Mission of the Humane Society of El Paso is to prevent suffering, neglect, abuse and cruelty to animals, provide information, raise public awareness of animal issues, and promote responsible guardianship and kindness toward all living things.”
How can you argue with that!?
