Private schools and Early College high schools dominate the list of top high schools in El Paso, according to the latest rankings released by Niche.

The data is part of the site’s annual “Best Schools” report, which ranks schools based on certain key categories such as academics, teachers, resources and activities, and takes student and parent reviews into consideration as well.

Of the 12 El Paso high schools that received an A- or better, three were private schools and four were public schools described as "Early College." Early College schools allow students to receive a high school diploma and an associate degree, or up to two years of college credit.

El Paso’s three biggest school districts have at least one school each on the list, with the El Paso Independent School District being represented most. Four EPISD schools ranked tops; two Early College and two traditional high schools.
