Today is National Pancake Day and IHOP is serving up a free stack of pancakes to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for kids.

Participating IHOP restaurants in the El Paso area are celebrating IHOP Restaurants’ “Decade of Giving” on the tenth anniversary of National Pancake Day.  IHOP restaurants will offer each guest one free short stack from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. of their famous buttermilk pancakes today in an effort to raise $3.5 million for Shriners Hospitals for Children and other local charities.

Guests are encouraged to make a voluntary monetary contribution in exchange for one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. IHOP Restaurants’s goal is to raise $3.5 million, which will bring the total amount of funds raised to nearly $20 million for Shriners and other local charities in ten years.

If you don’t have time to stop by and get your free pancake day you can donate online.
