You might think that happiness is hard to come by in the world today. Terror attacks, global warming, horrible winter weather shutting down the northeast part of the country for weeks. But, the Secretary General of the United Nations says it's a good day to be happy, so he declared today the International Day of Happiness.

Ban Ki-moon says the world needs to see that social, economic and environmental well-being are all important for global happiness. The UN issued it's first International Day of Happiness back in 2012 to recognize how important happiness is for people around the world.

This year, people are being encouraged to tweet about what makes them happy as part of the day. Pharrell Williams, who owns 'happy', put out an epic video of people from all over the globe doing the 'Happy' dance. Check out #InternationalDayOfHappiness for some fun tweets, and add your own!
