TODAY Airs Interview with Kim Kardashian’s Mother Instead of 9/11 Moment of Silence

NBC’s TODAY Show decided to air an interview with Kris Jenner, mother of the Kardashian gang, instead of a moment of silence in remembrance of 9/11. After outrage from America, NBC is still standing by their decision tonight.

At 8:46 this morning, millions across the nation had a moment of silence to honor the minute the first plane crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. At 8:46 this morning, NBC’s TODAY Show decided that was as important as letting Kris Jenner talk about the latest way she’s pimping out her children for media attention. At the exact moment the entire White House was taking a moment of silence, Kris Jenner was talking about her breast enhancement.

Wouldn’t everyone rather hear about plastic surgery and Kanye’s relationship with Kim instead of remembering the fallen? No, NBC. No.

So what’s their excuse? “The Today show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show,” said a spokesperson.

Which pretty much translates to, “Eh, we already covered that. Let’s talk about celebrities!”

In a city filled with people affected by 9/11, this decision leaves a lot of people wondering, “Why not highlight the heroes?”

Twitter exploded with anger shortly after.
