I hesitate to call this woman a mother because of what she did to her beautiful little boy earlier this year.

The freaking look on 25-year-old Ruby Esmeralda Gonzalez's face makes me want to throw up for thinking about how frightened her little boy was when she took him to Juarez on February 22 and left him in an abandoned building.

El Paso Police say she then came back to El Paso without that little boy. She apparently went on about her business not giving a damn about what happened to her son. The boy was found by Mexican authorities who then told U.S. law enforcement officials about finding him alone. They said he spoke and understood English which led Mexican officials to think that he was an American.

When this horrible woman saw the news reports about the little boy being found and authorities asking for people to help identify him, EPPD says she called them and said that her son had been kidnapped.

She was arrested and charged with Abandoning and Endangering Child/Imminent Danger/Bodily Injury, and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a bond of $10,000. Seeing as you can get out of jail by posting 10% of the bond, I wish the courts had charged her with something that carried a higher bond so she couldn't get out of jail.

Little Miss Ruby is no angel. She has previously been charged with two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury/Family Violence in 2008. One of the counts was dismissed and Gonzalez pleaded not guilty to the second count.

You're a real winner, Ruby. Thank God someone found your son and took care of him. We can only hope that no one thinks it's a good idea to give him back to you.
