Here’s what’s going on in and around El Paso this weekend, January 18 – January 20. Some events are free, some will cost you a few bucks.

FRIDAY – SUNDAY:

Spring Home Show- The annual event includes exhibits, demonstrations, and featured celebrity guest HGTV’s Eric Stromer of “Over Your Head” and A&E’s “Hideous Houses.” El Paso Convention Center, 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Meet Eric Stromer Saturday from 11 am – 3 pm. More Details

El Paso Chamber Music Festival - “Classical Bombshells” with violinist Chee Yun and pianist Natasha Paremski, 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fort Bliss’s 1st Armored Division Chapel and Saturday at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. More Details

Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo, whose shows combine comedy with classical music and popular culture, present “A Little Nightmare Music” at 5 p.m. Sunday at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. 833-9400

Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino – The live racing season runs continues. Post time is 12:25 p.m. General admission and parking are free. More Details

Queensryche - Queensryche, with Crimson Glory singer Todd La Torre. 5 p.m. at the
Socorro Entertainment Center, off Socorro Road, 4.5 miles southeast of Loop 375. Free Admission. More Details

UTEP Men’s Basketball - The Miners host SMU 2 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center. 747-5234

SUNDAY:
