Handel’s ‘Messiah’ & the El Paso Symphony Orchestra - The Symphony performs Handel’s “Messiah” with El Paso Choral Society and guest soprano Thea Cordova, mezzo-soprano Melissa Parks, baritone Levi Hernandez and tenor Francisco A. Almanza. 7:30 p.m. in the Plaza Theatre. More Details

FRIDAY – SUNDAY:

Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference - Student Showcase Concert, 7:3 p.m. Friday at Pan American Center featuring more than 750 student mariachi groups, vocalists, folkloric dancers. 575- 525-1735

• “Spectacular Concert,” 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Pan American Center, featuring Ezequiel Pena, Mariachi Cobre and Las Colibri. 575-646-1420

• The annual non-denominational Mariachi Mass is 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Pan American Center, with music by Mariachi Cobre. Admission is free

SATURDAY:

Paws for a Cause Benefit - Art and Music Benefit Show for the Humane Society featuring music from the D.A. and Biscuit Roller, dance performances, art, food, and more. 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday at the San Carlos Building, 501 Texas. Admission is a $3 donation to the Humane Society of El Paso. Well-behaved, leashed animals welcome. 532-6971
