Latin Comedy Jam - This tour features some of the funniest, top rising Latin comics in the business. 8 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre. Tickets: $15 - $40. More Details

El Paso Wind Symphony - The symphony’s final performance of the season will feature guest performer Sun Ridge Middle School and side by side concert with the TMEA All Staters. 7:30 p.m. at UTEP’s Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. Tickets: $12.50, Students, Military, and seniors $7.50. 760-5599

FRIDAY – SUNDAY:

‘Evita’ - UTEP Dinner Theatre’s official 30th Anniversary production presents the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber classic musical, featuring all-new scenery, costumes and staging. 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Sunday at UTEP Union West Building. ‘Elvis Lives’ - Broadway in El Paso Series presents the multi-media live journey across ‘The King’s’ life in a theatrical concert experience featuring finalists from Elvis Presley Enterprises’ worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. 8 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre. ‘Dia de los Niños, Dia de los Libros’ - The 17th annual children’s day/book day with free books and activities, food booths, crafts and more. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cleveland Square Park, corner of Franklin and Santa Fe, by the Main Library. Admission is free. More Details

Downtown Artist Market – The market offers the chance to shop for original arts and crafts in an outdoor setting while enjoying entertainment featuring local artists, food vendors and free activities for the entire family. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union Plaza District (near The Garden Restaurant) along Anthony Street. SATURDAY - SUNDAY:

La Viña Spring Wine Festival - The annual spring celebration featuring New Mexico wines, music, food, and arts and crafts. Noon to 7 p.m. at La Viña Winery, 4201 S. NM Highway 28 in La Union, N.M. one mile north of Vinton Road on Highway 28. Admission: $20 for adults, $10 ages 12-20; free for ages 12 and younger. More Details

FloraFest 2013 - The UTEP Centennial Museum’s annual native plant sale to benefit the museum’s Chihuahuan Desert Gardens. Nursery-grown native trees, shrubs, flowering perennials and other plants will be sold. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the museum located on campus at Wiggins and University. Sun City Scifi - The family-oriented Science Fiction Convention featuring celebrity guests such as Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi on Star Trek). 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the El Paso Marriott, 1600 Airway. ‘First Thanksgiving’ – The San Elizario Historic District and ElPaso MissionTrail will host the annual reenactment of the arrival of the first Spanish settlers in this area in April 1598. Costumed actors and dancers portray the Native Americans and Spaniards’ First Thanksgiving in the Southwest featuring danzas, food, history talks and more. 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 1501 Main Street at the San Elizario Plaza. El Paso Artists Studio Tour - The 6th annual tour featuring local studios and galleries from the Upper Valley to Central El Paso.
