Broadway In El Paso has presented many spectacular shows at the Plaza Theatre over the years, but news that a hideously deformed 'Phantom' in a sexy cape is headed our way has local Broadway fans rejoicing more than usual.

The six-time Tony Award-winning musical "The Phantom of the Opera" will be in town beginning next week for 15 performances, May 3-14, 2017.

"The Phantom of the Opera" Broadway show is based on the classic novel by Gaston Leroux. It tells the story of a mysterious masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, and the beautiful young soprano, Christine, he stalks, um, I mean, falls madly in love with.

Although this production is an updated version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber original, producers say it retains familiar elements of the music, script, and lyrics as well as the Tony Award-winning costume design. Dates and ticket details can be found HERE.
