San Jacinto Plaza Sneak Peek: This is What $6 Million in Renovations Looks Like
San Jacinto Plaza’s evolution is complete. For better or worse is a matter of opinion.
So what did (nearly) 6 million dollars and (almost) three years of waiting get us? For starters, a newly restored Los Lagartos sculpture -- this time with a shade canopy installed above it to protect it, and visitors, from the blazing hot El Paso sun.
Amenities, such as a full-service café, splash pad, ping pong and chess/checkers tables, and a horseshoe/washer sand pit, have been added. And lots of trees. Lots and lots of trees.
