The Loya YMCA Is Building a Playground in Only 6 Hours This Weekend

The Loya YMCA along with Kaboom and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas gathered volunteers to build a new playground this weekend.

Over 200 volunteers from the community, El Paso Chihuahuas, Hanks High School, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and the YMCA gathered early Saturday morning to help build a new playground that features a slide, rock wall, benches and more with the goal of completing the project in only six hours.

The playground is a donation courtesy of Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Kaboom, a national non-profit organization that has built over 16,000 playgrounds across the nation, ensuring that all kids partake in a childhood filled with fun and active play.

Once complete the whole community, families and public are invited to go play at the new playground.
