Explore the legend of La Llorona at this free family friendly event that tells the cautionary tale of La Llorona along with live entertainment and much more.

The Mexican folktale of La Llorona (Wailing Woman) stems back many hundreds of years about a young woman who drowned her children in a river to spite her cheating husband but soon after throws herself into the river to die alongside her children. The legend says that her soul wanders weeping over her dead children and causes misfortune to anyone who crosses her path especially children who she is said to kidnap.

The Legend Of La Llorona will come alive this September with a special exhibit by folk artist and historian on all things La Llorona, Jaime Santiago Gonzalez Aragon. The free event will also host a special dance performance by Mindy Chanson as well as live local music, live art, vendors, artisans along with $1 Tacos and $2 beers.
