The Franklin Mountain Trail Run Makes Its Trail This Weekend

Get ready for the wildest, most intense, craziest, and REALLY a TRUE TEXAS Mountain Race!  Register at MTR!

This GREAT Scenic RUN will begin Friday (Sept. 9th) packet pickup at 6 a.m. with run starting at 7 a.m.- King/Queen of the Mountain where the goal is to be the fastest to touch the peak and get back to the bottom.  The route YOU take is up to YOU!  That is North of the Franklin Peak

Saturday (Sept. 10th) 4:30 a.m.-6 a.m. packet pickup with race starting at 6 a.m., is the 50k on this trail race with portions that will be off the trail, up and down screen fields and have cliffs on either side.  Runners be ready to carry enough H2O for 6-7 miles that could be as long as 2 to 3 hours.  The warning comes that if you decide to drop out of race you MUST reach an aid station ALSO if you get hurt on the course and CAN'T leave on your own they will send Park Search and Rescue (which mean the BILLS on YOU) to help you.

Sunday (Sept. 11th) 5:30 a.m.-7 a.m. with race starting at 7 a.m.- 10k and 5k that will include some climbing and amazing desert views.

Get ready to view the rise of the sun as you climb to the top of the North Franklin Peak!
