Study Says the Cheaper the Engagement Ring, the Longer the Marriage

Emory University economics professors surveyed of 3,000 adults who had been married at one point of their life.

The results were shocking to me since I have always dreamed of having a big wedding. I should think twice before I do that. The results showed that couples who had lavish weddings plus expensive rings were more likely to get a divorce.
According to researchers the correct amount to spend on a ring is no less than $500 to $1,000 but no more than $2,000 to $4,000. My engagement ring was around $1,500 and I got dumped before my wedding. Oh well. I won't stop looking for love.
The study says couples that had more guests, and went on a honeymoon stayed married longer.
