Texas Tax Free Weekend 2013 is August 9th-11th – Here’s What’s Eligible to Buy

Texas’ Tax Free Weekend is upon us. The sales tax holiday, which has become a shopping event much like Black Friday but without the prerequisite Wal Mart trampling, is the best time to buy your kids' clothing and back to school supplies because a sales tax will not be tacked onto your purchases of eligible items.

This year you can shop-till-you-drop for clothing, shoes, and school supplies, and backpacks from Friday, August 9th to Sunday, August 11th. On average, you'll save about $8 on every $100 you spend.
