Texas Congressman Giving Away Assault Riffle in Campaign Contest

Talk about shotgun politics.

Ordinary citizens, campaign contributors and perhaps even multiple felons now have the opportunity to win a free assault riffle, courtesy of Texas Congressman Steve Stockman.

According to a recent Twitter post, Congressman Stockman, the infamous Texas politician who believes there would be no abortion if fetuses had guns, is giving away a complimentary Bushmaster AR-15 to one lucky winner just for signing up on his Stockman for Congress site.

Upon registering for this lunatics riffle-raffle, registrants receive the following message:

Dear Patriot,

President Obama is pulling out all the stops to ban firearms just like the one I’m giving away.

As a U.S Representative, I promise to do everything in my power to protect your right to keep and bear arms. Already this year, I've introduced legislation to repeal the so-called gun free school zones act, one to protect the gun rights of veterans and, along with Senator Rand Paul, a bill to nullify any anti-gun Obama Executive Orders.

I hope you will consider joining me in this battle by chipping in $10 or $20, or whatever you can afford, so I have the resources to continue the fight in Congress in defense of the Second Amendment.

Reports indicate that the Bushmaster AR-15 is the same gun Adam Lanza used to murder some 20 children at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Incidentally, gun rights supporters are Stockman's third largest campaign contributors.
