A Texas charter bus transporting a group to Oklahoma for a day at the casinos overturned earlier this morning on a Dallas turnpike, killing two passengers and injuring dozens more.

According to reports, nearly 40 people were rushed to area hospitals after a bus full of elderly tourists crashed on President George Bush Turnpike in Irving, Texas. So far, at least three people are reportedly in critical condition, but even those with minor injuries are being closely monitored by medical personnel due to the ages of the patients.

Officials say the accident was caused when the northbound bus lost control and went off the right side of the road, hitting a barrier, which caused it to swerve across lanes of traffic and crash into a concrete median. That’s when Department of Public Safety Sergeant Lonny Herschel said the bus rolled over on its right side. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The accident is currently being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
