El Paso Teen Injured after Car Goes off Transmountain Road

A 17-year-old is in the hospital this morning after she drove her car over the edge of Transmountain Road. The teen reportedly lost control near mile marker 19 and drove off the cliff, falling about 200 feet down the mountain.

The El Paso Fire Department Tweeted Sunday evening that she had been transported to UMC with multiple fractures, but in stable condition. The Sheriff's office is investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
