Do you own an old car seat your child has outgrown? Don't toss it; trade it in. Target is bringing back its popular Car Seat Trade-in Event in observance of Earth Month.

Beginning on Earth Day, Monday, April 22, you'll have two weeks to trade-in your unwanted car seat at Target and receive a 20 percent discount on a new one.

They will make sure your old seat doesn't end up taking up precious space in a landfill somewhere and instead gets carted off by a company named Waste Management who recycles them to create new plastic items.

You'll save a few dollars and Mother Earth at the same time. It's a win-win. So if your child is ready for a car seat upgrade then here's everything you need to know:

• From Monday, April 22 through Saturday, May 4, 2019 take your unwanted car seats to Target store and drop it off at Guest Services. You'll receive a coupon for 20 percent off a new car seat, booster seat, car seat base, travel system or stroller.

• Customers will be allowed one coupon per seat.

• Coupons can be applied to both in-store and online purchases through May 11, 2019.
