If you need your pet needs its rabies vaccine, parvo/distemper vaccine, license, or needs to be microchipped, you need to take advantage of the last low cost clinic of the year offered by the Department of Animal Services.

The clinic is happening this Sunday, December 11 at the Animal Services Shelter located at 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue. All four services (microchip, rabies vaccine, parvo/distemper vaccine, and license) can be done for only $24. There is a City code that requires all pets be licensed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so if you haven't gotten these things done for your pet, this weekend is the last time this year you can get them all done at one time and for this discounted price.

The services will be available on a first come, first served basis. only the first 200 animals will be seen. If you are going to pay in cash, you'll need to have the exact amount, or you can pay by check. No other forms of payment will be accepted.

Your dogs will have to be on a leash and if you have cats, they will need to be contained. Make sure you arrive early to avoid a long wait time. Shelter officials say it isn't unusual for their to be a line before the 6 a.m. start time, so make sure you are there when they open.
