When Woody Harrelson was revealed to be hosting ‘SNL’ just a few days before the new ‘Hunger Games’ movie was set to open in theaters, it was obvious that the massively popular franchise would, somehow, figure into at least one sketch. Surprisingly, that ended up being the opening monologue, which featured Harrelson performing his own version of Taylor Swift's ‘1989.’ With a little help from some friends.

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' continues its streak of viral marketing with a message from President Snow himself (played by Donald Sutherland) as he addresses the citizens of Panem with Katniss' District 12 cohort and love interest Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) by his side. While this, along with its TheCapitol.pn homebase, may seem like a fun way of promoting the film, it actually points to a plot point to come in the movie.

Josh Hutcherson hosted 'SNL' last night (Nov. 23) to coincide with this weekend's release of 'Catching Fire,' the latest installment of the blockbuster 'The Hunger Games' franchise. The young actor's very best skit was one set in the '80s, where big-haired bangs ruled and texting didn't exist, but was somehow referenced. His character also spoke only in song clips.

The final trailer for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' debuted tonight during the fourth game of the MLB World Series, and it's pretty awesome. In the upcoming sequel, as Donald Sutherland's President Snow teases in voice over, Katniss will go from playing mere games to full-out war when she and Peeta are targeted to compete in a new and deadly tournament.
