Well, he had us on pins and needles for a couple of days, but Mayor John Cook finally answered the 'will he or won't he' question about the Downtown Ballpark.
I was at El Paso City Council yesterday for most of the public comments, and even had a crack at the podium myself. So, did I crack open the champagne last night? Nope. Not yet. I'm still waiting on the Mayor to decide which way he is going to vote!
I'm all for the Downtown Ballpark. I know, I'm telling you something you didn't already know. I've not had any opinion for or against it. HA! I crack me up!
I wrote blog about City Reps Emma Acosta - my city rep - and Eddie Holguin when they said that artwork that will be installed along the Alameda rapid transit corridor is offensive to Hispanics and they don't want to see it installed. Now, they want City Council to fire the Seattle-based artists who developed the "offensive" art.
Earlier this morning, City Rep. Eddie Holguin stopped by the Mike and Tricia studio for a little one-on-one time with me and the Big Guy. Why did Mr. Holguin come to KISS FM? Well, I'll tell ya...

I got a little fired up and wordy yesterday and posted a blog about Pastor Tom Brown and his band of merry El Pasoans for Traditional Family Values minions. You can read the very long original here. I posted the link on Mike and Tricia's Facebook page, and Andrew Neblock said separation of Church and State being in the US Constitution was a popular myth. So is it in there or not?
If you've listened to the KISS Morning Show for any length of time, you know that I'm a political junkie. I dig City Council and County Commissioners meetings. I watch them on tv when I can't go in person. And I love the political blogs. There are a couple that I follow pretty closely, Refuse the Juice and The Lion Star Blog. They're on opposite ends of the political spectrum, and some of t
El Paso City Council has finally figured out a way to close down a business they don't like and caving into the demands of a few area residents who are just trying to prove they have the power to make council do what they want. Yes, I said it. The problem with the Monkey isn't the Monkey or it's patrons, it's the residents who won't be satisfied until the doors are closed for good. You know I'
