Sun Metro is doing there part to help out El Paso’s youth and veterans with free bus services.

Services for Veterans

Sun Metro will provide homeless veterans who are pursuing employment opportunities with up to 90 days of free transportation.

Sun Metro is also working with social service agencies to provide bus passes at a reduced fare for veterans, who need transportation options. Social services agencies may obtain bus passes for their customers who are veterans at a cost of $30 per month (originally $48 monthly).

Youth Services

Sun Metro is partnering with non-profit organizations to provide qualifying El Paso youths with free transportation during the summer months.

The free rides for qualifying youths will be made available June 1, 2016 through August 1, 2016 through nonprofit organizations that provide summer programs for local children.

Youths between the ages of 6 to 18 years in summer programs of non-profit agencies participating in this initiative are eligible for the free passes.  Children under the age of 12 will receive a distinguished pass to allow for a companion, over the age 12, to ride with the child free of charge. Children under the age of 5 always ride for free.
