Sun Metro Issues Statement About Wednesday Afternoon Fatal Bus Accident In East El Paso

A motorcyclist is dead and El Paso Police are investigating the crash that involved the cyclist and a Sun Metro bus.
Police were called to the intersection of George Dieter and Bob Mitchell in east El Paso around 5 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses said that people who were in traffic behind the wreck immediately got out of their vehicles to help the motorcyclist. The cyclist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but later died of his injuries.
Sun Metro issued a statement Wednesday night -
“We extend our condolences to the victim's family and friends. This was an unfortunate incident. El Paso Police is investigating and we at Sun Metro will be conducting an internal investigation as well.”

The accident remains under investigation. There is no word on who was at fault in the accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the motorcyclist.
