Sun Metro Detours Bus Routes Due to Construction Starting This Weekend

Starting Friday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. through Monday, Nov. 2 at 5 a.m., Paisano Drive will close from Executive Center to Sunland Park Drive due to construction.

Due to the closure, Sun Metro will detour routes during the construction this weekend:

Route 18 – Short Term Detour (Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. to Nov. 2 at 5 a.m.):

Buses traveling outbound will not be servicing the bus stops in Buena Vista/Racetrack area. Buses will exit the Downtown Transfer Center and will continue its regular route to Paisano, right on Spur 1966 to the Schuster roundabout and proceed to I-10 West to the Mesa Exit.

Route 18 – Long Term Detour (9- to 12-month project beginning Nov. 2 until further notice):

Buses traveling outbound will follow their regular route from Downtown Transfer Center to Paisano, right on Spur 1966 to the Schuster roundabout and proceed to I-10 to the Sunland Park exit, left on Paisano to Racetrack to the service existing inbound bus stop, left under Paisano to enter I-10 West to Mesa to their regular route. Buses traveling inbound will follow the regular route.

Route 83 – Short Term Detour (Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. to Nov. 2 at 5 a.m.):

Buses traveling outbound will follow the regular route from Downtown Transfer Center to Paisano, right on Spur 1966 to Schuster Roundabout to I-10 to Sunland Park exit, left on Sunland Park to Futurity, left to the casino parking lot to service existing bus stop, exit Casino, left on Futurity to Racetrack, right to McNutt and then proceed to regular service.

Buses traveling inbound will follow regular route to Sunland Park Casino bus stop, exit Casino, right on Futurity, right on Sunland Park, right onto I-10 East to Downtown exit, right on Santa Fe to Downtown Transfer Center.

Route 83 – Long Term Detour (9- to 12-month project starting Nov. 2 until further notice):

Buses traveling outbound will follow regular route from Downtown Transfer Center to Paisano, right on Spur 1966 to Schuster Roundabout to I-10 to Sunland Park exit, left on Sunland Park to Futurity, left to the casino, exit Casino, left on Futurity to Race Track, right to McNutt and then proceed to regular service.

Buses traveling inbound will follow regular route to Sunland Park Casino bus stop, exit Casino, right on Futurity, right on Sunland Park, right onto Paisano onramp and then proceed to regular route. Bus stop at Paisano and Racetrack inbound will be used as an alternate stop for the Anapra neighborhood.
