New Grocery Market Opens on Westside This Week

Sprouts Farmers Market, currently located at 6100 N. Mesa St., will move to a new location at 655 Sunland Park Drive, on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Since the lease was up for renewal, the company decided to make the switch to a larger, more desirable property just a couple of miles away across from Sunland Park Mall.

The new space will provide a fresher layout and ample parking. The products, prices and – most importantly – all of Sprouts Farmers Market’s team members will stay the same.

For those of you unfamiliar to Sprouts Farmers Market (formerly, Sun Harvest) is a specialty retailer of fresh, natural and organic foods. The company offers a complete shopping experience that includes fresh produce, bulk foods, vitamins and supplements, packaged groceries, meat and seafood, baked goods, dairy products, frozen foods, natural body care and household items catering to consumers’ growing interest in health and wellness.

To celebrate the new 31,541 -square-foot store, Sprouts will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The public is invited to attend, tour the store and shop for their favorite grocery items.

Additionally, a few special events are planned for grand opening day:

• Muffin and coffee samples will be served to everyone in line before the doors open.
• The first 200 shoppers in line will receive 20 percent off their initial purchase.
• Upon checkout, every 15th shopper will receive a coupon book with more than $30 in Sprouts savings.
• Guests will save even more on Sprouts’ already low prices with $1 deals throughout the store.
• Every customer will receive one free reusable bag with purchase.
• Sprouts will be hiding 20 golden tickets on products throughout the grocery aisles. If you find one, you’ll get $20 off of a total purchase Jan. 20-26.

The celebration will continue into the weekend on Saturday, Jan. 18:

• The first 100 customers to make a purchase will receive a coupon booklet for five free sandwiches.
• Shoppers will be randomly selected to win freshly sliced Boar’s Head meats and cheeses at the Deli.
• Boar’s Head will be on site handing out 300 free hot dogs to customers.
