Sports Authority, once the largest sporting goods retailer in the nation, will close all of its remaining stores nationwide. They announced back in March that they were filing for bankruptcy and would initially close down 140 of its almost 500 stores to try and avoid having to go out of business altogether. That strategy has not worked.

Sports Authority officials said in a new bankruptcy filing that it hasn't been able to find a buyer for its remaining stores.

There is no word on when the store closings will take place.
