Sports Authority Store in El Paso Closing for Good

The sporting good store, Sports Authority in El Paso will be closing soon due to the company filling Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Back in early March, Sports Authority closed 140 stores after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but failed to get funding to cover their costs and where forced to close all their stores nationwide.

Now that all the 460 Sports Authority stores are set to close you can expect to find some pretty good sales beginning Wednesday, May 25 through August 31, 2016, when they plan to close their doors forever.

According to Sports Authority, they faced tough competition from on line retailers such as Amazon and other retailers like Nike and Lululemon Athletica.

The El Paso Sports Authority is located at 801 Sunland Park Dr Unit 346, El Paso, TX 79912.
