Outdoor movie aficionados who live outside El Paso city limits have a couple of free outdoor movie series' to call their own.

Like their Sun City neighbors, residents of the City of Socorro and the Town of Horizon City can also spend the summer watching flicks under the stars. Both municipalities are hosting screenings at a neighborhood park throughout the summer.

Horizon City is holding "Movies in the Park"  every Saturday from June through August at Corcoran Park, while Socorro's "Movies Under the Stars" is being held on selective Saturdays in June and July at Bulldog Championship Park.

Both film series feature family friendly flicks screened for free on a giant inflatable screen, and food vendors and/or food trucks on site -- but you're more than welcome to bring your own snacks, as well as blankets and lawn chairs to make your movie watching experience more comfortable.
