SNOWMAGEDDON Update 5 – The Tuesday Morning Edition

If you're wondering if you have to go to school or work, here is the latest update, along with road closures.

ROAD CONDITIONS

: I-10 from the Texas stateline to the Arizona stateline is closed. Scenic Drive is closed. Transmountain Road is closed. The Anthony Gap/NM-404 is closed. Highway 70 is closed. I-25 is closed from Las Cruces to Belen.

DELAYS

:

El Paso City Hall and the Parks and Recreation department are on regular schedule, no delayed openings.

El Paso and Las Cruces Social Security offices will open at 10 a.m.

El Paso International Airport is on a normal schedule, no delays or cancellations have been reported, officials encouraging passengers check with their airlines.

Horizon City offices are on a two hour delay.

All New Mexico state employees are on a two hour delayed start.

City of Socorro will open its offices at 10 a.m.

El Paso County Courthouse will open at 10 a.m.

Fort Bliss and White Sands Missile Range will open at 10 a.m.

Holloman Air Force Base, key and essential personnel are to report at normal duty time. All other Holloman AFB employees are to report at 10 a.m.

Non-essential employees at Beaumont Army Medical Center can report at 10 a.m.

The City of Las Cruces, Las Cruces Magistrate Court, Doña Ana County, Las Cruces District courts will open at 10 a.m.

SCHOOLS

:

El Paso ISD

schools and administrative offices will have a two hr delayed opening. School buses will pick up at designated bus stops two hrs from the original pick up time. Pre-K programs will NOT have a morning session. All scheduled events will continue as planned.

Ysleta ISD

schools and administrative offices will be on a 2 hr delay.

San Elizario ISD

schools are on a two hr delay.

Clint ISD

will operate on an altered schedule, Clint Elementary schools will begin at 10am, Clint Middle and High schools will begin at 10:45am, Pre-K morning sessions are cancelled, school buses are running on a 2 hr delay. ESC Region 19 Head Start centers will be on a two hr delay.

Fabens ISD

classes will start at 10 a.m.

The University of Texas at El Paso

will have a delayed opening today, All UTEP offices will open at 10am, All UTEP classes will resume at 10 a.m. Final exams scheduled during the closed time frame will be rescheduled to next Monday at the same time.

El Paso Community College

is on a two hr delayed start. If you had a final exam scheduled today and it was cancelled the exam will be held on Friday at the same time.

NMSU

is on a two hour delay.

Fort Hancock ISD

is on a 2 hour delay.

Dona Ana Community College

is on a 2 hour delay.

Anthony and Alamogordo ISDs

will be on a two-hour delay.

Father Yermo School will have a two hr. delay. Cornerstone Christian Academy in Las Cruces will be on a two-hour delay today. St. Raphael Catholic school is on a two hr delayed opening.

St. Patrick's school will be on a two hr delay.

Vista del Futuro Charter School is on a two hour delay.

ANAMARC College will be on a two hour delay.

Bridges Acadmey is on a two hour delays.

Tornillo ISD schools are on a normal schedule, all tardies will be forgiven.

Loretto Academy is on a two hour delay.

Our Lady of the Valley school is on a two hour delay.

Houchen Community Center Daycare is on a two hour delay.

Faith Christian Acadmey is on a two hour delay, AM bus service has been cancelled .

Sunshine Christian School has cancelled its AM Pre-K,elementary school classes are on a 2 hr. delay.

Lydia Patterson Institute is on a two hour delay. Vista College in Las Cruces is on a two hour delay. Immanuel Christian School will be on a two hr. delay. Socorro ISD schools are on a two hr. delay.

CLOSED

: All Las Cruces Public Schools are closed today. Las Cruces Public Schools Head Start and developmentally delayed pre-school morning classes are cancelled.

GARBAGE

: In El Paso, garbage will be collected as scheduled; however, recyclables will not be picked up if temperature dips below 20 degrees. In Las Cruces, trash pickup may be delayed or cancelled. The City of Las Cruces advises to leave your container out as per the schedule, as it will be collected the following day.

OTHER SERVICES

: Sun Metro buses are running on a regular schedule with some minor delays due to road conditions. RoadRUNNER and Dial-a-Ride will begin operating at 8:30 a.m. instead of 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. No delays or cancellations at El Paso International Airport. La Clinica de Familia in Las Cruces will open at 10 a.m.
