Dave & Buster’s will debut its first ever El Paso location this coming Monday, April 11, inside the renovated food court section of Bassett Place.

The 35,000 square foot restaurant, which I liken to a Chuck E. Cheese's for adults, touts itself as “the only place to eat, drink, play, and watch sports all under one roof.”

And man, is there ever an emphasis on 'watch sports'.

El Paso's D&B has 24 televisions in the sports bar alone and a wall of HD TV screens in what's known as the sports viewing lounge, so you'll be able to watch nearly any sporting event televised -- and that will include UFC fights and boxing matches.

The midway is pretty dope, too, with more than 170 games. There are a lot of the classics you know and love, like air hockey and skee ball, as well as a buttload of contemporary video games such as Batman, and a dome-shaped game called the Star Wars Battle Pod.

• Its hours will be Monday-Sunday 11:00 a.m. to midnight.

• No less than 40 items on the menu, plus a large selection of adult beverages, adult snow cones, and a drink with an LED light cube that blinks called a Glow Kone.

• You can win stuff, just like at Peter Piper Pizza. Sadly, the games don't spit out a long string of tickets. Your points are loaded onto your game card.

• Children are welcome, but those younger than 18 must have a parent or guardian with them. They're not allowed at the bar, and you can't just load up a card and leave them at the arcade either. A parent or guardian is expected to accompany them the whole time.
