Shooting At Las Cruces Bar — Suspect Arrested
Las Cruces police arrest Sostenes Quinones, 22, of Las Cruces after shooting at Dublin's street pub.
Before 1 a.m. on Friday morning, police were dispatched to the 1700 block of University to Dublin's street pub after reports of shooting in the parking lot were reported. An altercation happened inside the bar and it overflowed out onto the parking lot.
Quinones shot 10-15 rounds into the air and no injuries were reported. Quinones was charged with two counts of assault with intent to commit a violent felony. Quinones was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.
The fight started inside the bar, and immediately security escorted him out of the bar. They followed him into the parking lot to ensure he was leaving and that's when shots were fired. Police report one of the security officers returned fire and at least one round struck Quinones’ vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident. But it did scare many patrons and the bar cleared. Quinones is in custody.
