Senator Ted Cruz is in a hotly contested race for his seat in the senate with Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke. The race is so close that on any given day there are competing polls about who is ahead or behind. O'Rourke is a regular fixture in El Paso and has held several rallies and town halls since he announced his candidacy, but Cruz hasn't been seen here in town as often. This week, however, you will be able to see him at a campaign stop on the west side.

Cruz had originally been scheduled to be at Sportsmen's Elite Archery and Gun Pro Shop at 4520 Doniphan Drive at 3:30 p.m., but the time has been changed to 3:00 p.m. as per the Republican Party Facebook page. Tickets are free, but you have to have to register to attend the event.

Officials with the El Paso Republican Party are also reminding people that the Cruz visit is subject to change, so keep an eye on their Facebook page for any changes.
