Ok, we haven't gone trick-or-treating yet, and the Halloween jack-o-lantern probably hasn't even been carved yet, but you need to mark your calendar to welcome the guy who lives at the North Pole.

Santa is going to be making his annual arrival at Cielo Vista Mall next weekend. Sure it's early, but if you've ever had to wait in line to see the guy in the red suit with a bunch of squirmy kids who didn't want to be forced to dress up, you know what a pain in the neck it can be to get a decent picture with Santa. Having Santa show up over a month before Christmas will give you the chance to get those pictures taken and get your Christmas cards out quicker than usual.

Cielo Vista Mall is going to be holding a real humdinger of a celebration to welcome Santa. The festivities will include a tree lighting, and a special appearance by El Paso's Elia Esparza. Elia will sing and then welcome Santa to the stage and they will count down to light up the mall and officially kick off the busy shopping season.

Sounds like a jingle good time! Sorry, couldn't resist.
