Saltgrass Steak House Gets Ready to Open in West El Paso

UPDATE 10/4: Saltgrass Steak House is now open. Its operating hours are Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m, and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The "training in progress, opening soon" sign is out, which means Saltgrass Steak House will be serving up my favorite animal any day now.

Mmm, Mmm,I can taste their signature garlic butter topped steaks already.

For the uninitiated, Saltgrass is a southwestern-style restaurant both in its décor and menu offerings. In addition to steaks that “recapture the flavor of the open campfire,” it serves chicken, ribs, seafood, salads, and burgers

The first El Paso location for the Houston based chain is at 5030 N Desert Blvd just off I-10 and Mesa (the former Fuddruckers location). Interestingly enough, that's right next door to Texas Roadhouse, another chain that specializes in steaks and promotes a Western theme. Yeah, man, the steak war is gettin' real up in here!

More than likely, the restaurant will have a soft opening ahead of their grand opening sometime in the next few days. As soon as I get an official date, I'll let you know, my fellow meat-eaters.
