RuPaul’s Drag Race Alum “April Carrión” to Visit El Paso
The RuPaul's Drag Race star created a fan frenzy by showcasing provocative looks, daring runway visuals and focused Puerto Rico representation on Season 6 of the hit reality television show. April is most recently part of a documentary entitled “MALA MALA” which is about exploring the lives of young transexuals and drag queens in Puerto Rico. Carrión is Jason/April’s birth surname that she opted to keep to bring pride to her family.
April describes herself as “a female impersonator established as a daring, fashion-forward artist exploring the world of gender expression.”
“We are very excited to have April coming to Touch Bar & Nightclub! This is her first visit to El Paso so the anticipation has been building since I announced that she was coming. April is very artistic and very beautiful! So you can expect to her to serve beauty and glamour on stage, but of course with a Latin flare. April comes to us from the famous Dollhouse in Puerto Rico which is known for its fierce queens. This will be her first time away from the island since the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria so I am hopeful that El Paso will welcome her with open arms. We have been fortunate to have had three sell outs in a row for our previous shows which included Kim Chi, Pearl, and Joslyn Fox. We hope to keep the streak going this weekend with April and continue it with upcoming shows including Kandy and Queen Bee Ho on December 2nd, Violet Chachki on December 16th, Adore Delano on January 13th. Plus, a huge queen announcement on January 26th that we will actually reveal this Saturday during April’s show along with four other announcements coming later for early in 2018.” - David Lee Promotions
