Roundabouts in El Paso: Love Them or Hate Them?

I recently took a short cut through the UTEP campus which meant having to negotiate one of those roundabouts we're starting to see more and more of around El Paso.

Yeah, still not a big fan of them. It's not that I don't know how to use them, it's that half the population doesn't know how to use them. Heck, half the people on the road seem to have a problem knowing what to do when they come up on the big red signs with the word "STOP" written on it. Never mind a circle in the middle of the road.

And that's another reason I don't like them. Roundabouts go against everything that they taught us in drivers education class -- which is to yield to the right in America! Why don't they just make us drive on the other side of the road while they're at! Rant over.

Now, how do you feel about roundabouts? They've been around a few years now and by all indications they're here to stay. Love them or hate them?
